Mom, Don't Look... It's Gross

Today, well yesterday... Thursday, Tyler and I decided to go out for a bit. He works graveyards so we don't do much these days except bum it out watching Lost on Neflix until I have to get ready for work. The original plan was just to go to Joplin so I could get a few things, but it ended up turning into a little date/adventure. After I got what I needed we walked around the Halloween store in the mall but quickly went to go eat. Guess where we ate? Yep, Buffalo Wild Wings of course! If you can't tell, that's kind of my "go to" place whenever i'm in Joplin. I mean come on, who doesn't love chicken wings!? But anyways, Tyler knows i've been dying to get some photos of us that aren't taken with a cheap cell phone camera or a polaroid, so he finally let me capture some of us. He's not a big fan of photos, and of course the batteries in my remote were dead... We were racing to get there as the sun was quickly setting (photos are quite grainy). And we ended the night with yummy ice cream from Baskin Robins and a short nap until he had to get ready for work. It might not be anything special, but it's special to me and well, that's all that matters:) right?

he's horrible at keeping put when trying to focus the camera

*GAG* *PUKE* i know *HURL*

I warned you, mom

Mommy's Little Monster Went to St. Louis

For years, without hesitation, one of my favorite bands has been Social Distortion. Not many people around here have heard of them, but the few i have met are like unicorns. Anyways, I FINALLY GOT TO SEE THEM LIVE. I obviously didn't go alone, so i brought along Mariah! She loves music, and is always up for adventure, and that's what i love about her. We drove all the way to St. Louis, that's right. A 5 hour drive just to see a 3 hour show. Completely worth it! We had a few bumps in the road, like me scratching my arm and not realizing i was bleeding like someone in Sweeney Todd when their throat gets sliced. I'm not lying, it was quite scary. The night was just amazing. One i will never forget.

Jonny Two Bags, and The Whigs opened up the show. I hadn't really heard many songs from The Whigs, but boy they're actually pretty good. And Jonny Two Bags also performed with Social D.

I am still pumped, just at the fact i was so many feet away from Mike Ness.
They performed so many favorites: Machine Gun Blues, Story of my Life, Ball & Chain, Mommy's Little Monster...
Even covered 6 More Miles, by Hank Williams, and ended the show with Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash.

Enough with all this talk, now let's get to some photos!
Enjoy:)

had to take this, of course
