Stubborn Love Pt. II

So yesterday I got my roll of film developed, and i'm pretty stoked with the results. Film is always fun to experiment with because you'll never know the outcome. It's always a surprise because unlike the digital cameras today, you cant just look at the back of the camera and see how your image turned out.

i wish i knew what her offer of food symbolizes as.... peace? a sign of thanks?

Stubborn Love

Well hello, to any of you who come around this blog of mine. I'm back from Cali, as much as I wish I wasn't. .. It was my first time traveling alone, and to be honest.. I wasn't nervous at all. My biggest concern was getting seated to some weird freaks but I ended up being by some pretty decent people and I was so excited to finally be home again. On my way back to Oklahoma, i got a shocking text from my mom apologizing that I had to come back and she added that maybe i'll be able to save money and move back. Maybe she's realizing that California is where my heart is, and where I belong and that as much as she doesn't want to, she's ready to let me go when my time comes to leaving the nest. Many memories were made on my trip. It had it's hectic moments, and it may have gotten in the way of things but hey, things happen. Even though it's only been a few days of being here, I already miss staying out til 4 in the morning eating junk food and listening to music and talking about everything. To be honest, that was my favorite part of my trip. And of course seeing family was a great feeling to have again, even if it was for just a little bit. I didn't get as many shots or the type I wanted to, but here's a few from my two weeks of being home.

Chinatown!

Did you know that the sign used to be "Hollywood Land"?

I could not resist. Mall cop status at Victoria Gardens

SoCal is filled with classics driving around everywhere, i love it so much..

His shorts are cute, right?

So this guy tried taking my Jamba Juice. He claims to be a writer trying to get his name out there. He offered to read his works but there was a catch, you had to donate something. And thats when he started saying "I'll take some jamba" I was confused and took one of his poems, so I offered to snap a photo of him

Visited Johnny at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary

My next trip will be a one-way to stay and start my life. I know it won't be easy but i'm willing to try despite certain opinions. It's my life, I need to live it my way. I need to learn my own mistakes. And I need to do it for myself.

Look out for my film shots, posting soon.

For Every Ending There Is A New Beginning.

Well this post will contain no photos taken by me just to throw that out there. I recently just graduated high school, and now it's time to figure out what to do with my life. I graduated from a really small school. Small as in only 45 students in my graduating class. I moved my sophomore year from a big school in socal to a tiny one in Northeastern oklahoma. I wish i wouldve had a big high school experience, but nothing i was able to ever do about it. I love photography, it's my passion and way of life. Its all i want to do but i dont feel i have what it takes to take it farther than just random clients here and there and mainly just having shoots with friends for fun. And what makes it even more complicated is not having the support that would be nice to have from my parents. I only have their support with joining the military. I dont even have their support with wanting to go to school for criminal investigations. Which is something i would absolutely love making a living with. But i'm leaving to cali in a few days to take my mind off things and enjoy myself until i get back and start looking for a job. It has been decided that i am taking a year off to get some work experience and figure out what i truly want to do. But anyways, here are some photos from my big day. Taken by my cousin Josh Iglesias and my aunt Melinda Stotts.

yep, there's my class. Do you see me?

Our caps didnt fit our heads so we pinned them before taking our class photo

My "diploma" is actually a blank piece of white paper

it was sOoOoOo hot!

this tall guy is my uncle, hes on the school board and made sure to be the one to give me my diploma :)

i hated wearing this so much, i felt like i should be in a cult.

I dont have many pics of myself, so there's basically all i have. That was the first time i have ever seen my dad cry more than my mom. Jerk ended up making me cry. So there's some pics from my day along with a little rant. Now it's time to begin my journey.
